The Pile load testing was done on three test piles for bridges at Km 96 , Km 121+874 and Km 134+073

Test Pile and anchor system

The test pile at bridge Km 96+560 was 800mm diameter in situ bored concrete pile 9.0m long. The working load for the pile is 2275kN and test load was 150% of working load. The test was carried out on 29th and 30th November 2019.

The test pile at bridge Km 121+874 was 800mm diameter in situ bored concrete pile 9.m long. The working load for the pile is 2300kN and test load was 150% of working load. The test was carried out on 15th and 16th December 2019.

The test pile at bridge Km 134+073 was 800mm diameter in situ bored concrete pile 17m long. The working load for the pile is 2300kN and test load was 150% of working load. The testis projected to be carried out on 15th to 16th January 2020.

The anchor system comprised of Kentledge system of 4 platform beams and steel reinforcement bars of equivalent weight to the test load taking into account the weights of the test beam and platform beams. The test methodology was by static compression load by maintained load system and was carried out in accordance with ASTM D1143 – 08.
